The course Science Communication and Outreach is offered to a long list of master's and PhD programmes, within and also outside the KU Leuven’s Faculty of Science. Its central objective is to stimulate reflection on the social impact of sciences and the role of communication, information and popularisation, and to develop practical skills in communicating about science to a non-expert audience. The course is attended by >170 students from various academic, cultural, and linguistic backgrounds.
In collaboration with internal and external partners (various organisations, museums, and research or education departments and institutes), the early-career scientists enrolled in this course have worked towards projects of science communication.
Our goal is to bring these projects outside the course and into the public arena! On May 8 and May 16, 2024, they will present their work to all interested (in English).
